So what makes J & H RV Park so special? Well, for starters the owners. JoAnn and Harvey Mickelson know how to make a person as well as a dog, feel very welcome. You'd better bring your sense of humor because laughter is always part of the plan and J & H. The park's office is filled with humorous wall plaques that Harvey makes and sells. Signs on the property reflect the Mickelson's sense of humor:

"Did you leave anything behind like your tow vehicle or spouse?"

"Any persons left behind will be used for winter snow removal."

"This park is not a bank. Don't let your pet leave a deposit."

When it comes to canine deposits, the Mickelsons have several bright green Dogi-PotsTM scattered strategically throughout the park. These feces receptacles even offer clean-up bag dispensers to give pet owners every convenience when it comes to picking up after their dogs. To make things even easier, there are professionally produced signs placed throughout the park directing pet owners to the Dogi-PotsTM so even the directionally challenged guest can find his or her way to the nearest "depository."

To ensure that all guests are cleaning up after their pets, the Mickelsons offer a reward "for information leading to the apprehension and eviction of anyone NOT picking up after their pet." This information is advertised on their check-in site map to make sure all guests are aware of the policy. They've found that most pet owners who visit the park are very considerate and abide by the rules. (continued)
